Carlton Marsh

Ringing this morning produced a catch of 36 birds that included 4 Sedge, 5 Reed, 2 Blackcap, 7 Chiffchaff and Willow Tit. A gadwall hit the net and bounced.
A Meadow Pipit north was the first since the spring.

A male Banded Demoiselle was seen near the hide following on from 3 males and 2 females on the dike near Cudworth bypass yesterday. Looks like they are about to colonise!
