Carlton Marsh

Tropical air produced warm humid conditions (19c) on a light southerly today. 2 LRP and 1 Redshank were on the wader scrape as a Fox emerged, only to be harassed by 2 Crows. 5 Blackbirds were singing along with Garden Warbler and Reed Warbler.  A pair of Grey Wagtails were feeding at least 2 young and 2 family groups of Long-tailed Tits were feeding in cover. There were 2 Buzzards up and a female Peregrine was about. Greylag and Canada Geese have young, but the female Mute Swan appears to have abandoned her nest.
