Carlton Marsh

Today's highlights were; BITTERN which flew from Phragmites reed to the left of the hide, to another reedbed to the right at 14.25hrs. It had another short flight at 14.40hrs before disappearing into the reeds. It was seen again at 18.00hrs for 7 minutes in the same area walking in front of the reeds. This was first for 3 years.
Also of note 2 Buzzards, Grey Wagtail, 9 Shoveler, 5 Tufted Duck, Little Egret, Water Rail, Wigeon and Snipe. 30 Pink Feet flew west at 18.40hrs.
