Hartcliff Area 30.04.16

A few hours around the hill today. The good thing about this site is there's very few folk and even fewer dogs. Alas, there's often fewer birds! Blogging was a single Ring Ouzel, 6 Wheatear  - one by the hill and 5 at Highcote Farm, including a buffy male associating with a 'standard' male, although for me, the former wasn't peachy enough for a proper Greenland, 4 Swifts briefly, 40 Golden Plover and two Little Owls. On territory were 8 Willow Warblers, single Chiffy and Yellowhammer, and at least 6 pairs of Lapwings around the rendering plant, and single pairs of Mistle and Song Thrushes. Four Greylags and single LBBG flew through. At nearby Cranberry were another 5 Wheatears near the covered reservoir.
Ingbirchworth Res briefly - two LRP's and 200+ Swallows forced down by a heavy shower.
Cheers
