Hills and Reservoirs

A brief early(ish) call at Inbirchworth this morning revealed 6 Little Ringed plovers (at least one juv.) and Greenshank. There's a promising looking shoreline around the res at the moment but I recommend a very early visit to beat the dog walkers - something like 5am should be ok!
Of note at Scout Dike were 18 Tufted Duck and 6 well-grown juv. Great Crested Grebes. At Hartcliff - 25 Golden Plover, single Redpoll over and single Spotted Fly in the copse by the farmhouse.

Sad news about Mike Richardson recently. I'd very much like to donate to the memorial bench which was mentioned. If someone would direct me to where it needs to go then that would be good.

Cheers
Russ
