Edderthorpe & Houghton Saturday
Despite being completely overwhelmed by events at that other RSPB reserve a little further down the Dearne Valley, it remains good birding here. Little Egret 4, Teal up to 20, Greenshank 1, Redshank 3, Green Sandpiper 5, Common Sandpiper 1, Little Ringed Plover 12 (inc 3 juvs), Ringed Plover 13 (no juvs), Oystercatcher 1, Common Snipe 7.
