Cold this morning 7c at 8 o'clock when I started out, a strong wind again and a few hail showers but sunny inbetween them. Again few highlights today, a Pink Footed Goose was with 4 Grey Lags, still 5 Goldeneye (1 drake) and 14 singing Chiffchaffs. Full list :- Mute Swan 4, Canada Goose 30, Grey Lag Goose 4, Pink Footed Goose 1, Great Crested Grebe 3, Little Grebe 15, Mallard 13, Teal 5, Gadwall 5, Shoveler 2, Tufted Duck 52, Pochard 9, Goldeneye 5, Coot 128, Moorhen 12, Lapwing 2, Oystercatcher 6, Black Headed Gull 371, Common Gull 6, LBB Gull 1, GBB Gull 5 west, Herring Gull 2 west, Buzzard 1, Kestrel 1, Grey Wagtail 2, Green Woodpecker 1, Meadow Pipit 1, Chiffchaff 14.

Looking onto the Wader Scrape from Warbler Way I could see 7 Avocets but looking onto Wombwell Ings from the old road I couldn't see any Wheatears.

Visited Old Moor this evening, first stop Mere where the 3 Mediterranean Gulls were on Island 1. Wader Scrape next where the 7 Avocets were still present and 8 Sand Martins were over the water.
Onto the Reedbeds, no Booming Bitterns tonight but did see 2 birds including 1 in the channel in front of the hide as Friday night, again giving fantastic views. Also present - Sand Martin 28, Green Sandpiper 1, Tawny Owl calling and I could here 1 of the Med Gulls calling.
