Old Moor - Monday 13th January

New in today, a 'cream crown' Marsh Harrier seen on Reedbeds, Wath Ings and Bolton Ings. Thought to be the same bird that was seen in December and the first ever January record. A male Bittern was seen on the tops of the reeds on the reedbeds 'showing off', looks like it won't be long before he's getting vocal. The Goosander roost wasn't covered but at least 20 birds seen from the reedbeds. Also seen today - Goldeneye 4, Green Sandpiper, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl and Brambling.
