Edderthorpe looking Ruff!

29 Ruff at Edderthorpe this afternoon (John Clarkson). This is not an area record or even a site record however. 32 were at Edderthorpe on 5th September 1998 and 45 were logged at the mighty Wath Ings on 4th September 1965 although 30 flew over. Why?

Update from Old Moor this afternoon includes Bittern, 4 Golden Plovers, Curlew, 7 Ruff,

15 Black-tailed Godwits, Wood Sand, 15 Green Sands and 8 Dunlin.

 The Night Heron has gone to ground however.
