I did an early count on Broomhill Flash this morning before 7.15 and here are those numbers.
1 Redshank, 11 Lapwing, 2 Avocet (which dropped on Wombwell Ings a few seconds later), 1 Grey Heron, 15 Tufted Duck, 4 Little Grebe, 1 Pochard, 9 Mallard + 6 young, 5 Gadwall, 8 Greylag Goose, 51 Canada Goose + 6 Young, 41 Coot, 6 Moorhen, 1 Water Rail (singing in marsh at back of Broomhill by Dave Waddington), 2 Reed Bunting, 3 Skylark, c15 Swift, c30 Swallow, 6 Sand Martin, 4 House Martin, 1 Kestrel, 3 Brown Hare. 2 Geese were shot in back field by "Farmer" at 11am. Also 2 Dunlin entered into logbook later today.
