Friday's starter

For the second Friday running a pre-work visit to Broomhill Flash (07.40) produced a Kittiwake (adult), though this time in torrential rain rather than fog. Apparently after I left, it departed several times and returned, so is quite likely the bird seen on Old Moor this afternoon. Other news from Old Moor: Bittern, Ruff, Knot, 2 Meds' + an as yet unconfirmed report of Marsh Harrier.
