Went Jack Snipe hunting at the west end of Wilthorpe Marsh this morning with Upland Tyke. We were soon rewarded with 4 which is the best count four a while. Also there were 6 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Water rail, 6 Gadwall, 20 Mallard, 14 Canada and 150 Starlings.
We then went to Bretton and the highlights there were: 1 Smew, 2 Goosander, 8 GC Grebes, 13 Gadwall, 30 Tufted, Green woodpecker and a Chiff Chaff.
