Old Moor Roundabouts

Broomhill Flash- Very quiet with 10 Tufted Duck,2 Gadwall, 1male Pochard, 1 male Shoveler,2 Little Grebe,2 House Martin,1 Swallow and 1 Reed Bunting.

Bolton Ings- Singing males included 9 Chaffinch, 10 Wren, 6 Willow Warbler, 10 Chiffchaff,7 Blackcap, 4 Whitethroat, 2 Reed Warbler,2 Reed Bunting, 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Song Thrush. On the open water were 43 Gadwall, 39 Tufted Duck, 5 Pochard (2m,3f), 4 adult Mute Swans with  4and 2 cygnets,3 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 LBB Gull and 3 Common Tern. Also present were families of 10+  Long Tailed Tits and 7 Blue Tits, 2 Jay, 2 Kingfisher, 1Garden Warbler, 1 Sparrowhawk, 3 Kestrel and a predatory Carrion Crow carrying a baby coot.
