Broomhill Flash- In addition to what has already been reported were 100+ House Martin, 50+ Swift,18 Tufted Duck, 15 adult Mallard +broods of 10 and 4,8 Gadwall, 3 Little Grebe, 2 Mute Swan, 2 Kestrel, Ruddy Duck, male Shoveler, Common Tern and LBB Gull.
Bolton Ings-Singing birds included 10 Willow Warbler, 9 Blackcap, 8 Wren, 7 Chiffchaff, 6 Chaffinch,4 Whitethroat, 2 Reed Bunting and 1 Lesser Whitethroat.On the open water were 43 Gadwall, 30 Tuted Duck,3 Little Grebe, 2 Great crested Grebe, 2 Grey Heron,2 Common Tern, 2 Pochard and 2 Mute Swans + 2 cygnets. Also seen were 3 Kingfisher, 2 Oystercatcher, family of 10 LongTailed Tit, Linet, Green Woodpecker and a hunting Barn Owl on Wath Ings.
